Common Ground Community Church

History of Our Church

Common Ground Community Church began the summer of 2001 as Common Grounds Coffee House meeting at Stonebridge Elementary School on Saturday nights. The name "Common Grounds" took on a life of its own, and when the eight core members started meeting as a church in September of 2001, Common Ground Community Church was "birthed." From there, CGCC began meeting in the multi-purpose room of Western Branch Baptist Church until moving into our present location in Portsmouth, Virginia.
