Common Ground Community Church has many upcoming events for our members. Please refer to this page to find out about upcoming services, meetings, events and other church related information. We will also be posting news bulletins or pertinent information regarding our church, community, ministries or staff. The calendar will also list these items as well. Make sure you print out our church calendar each month for easy reference. |

CGCC is partnering with Impact Suffolk to reach the youth of Suffolk. They have asked us to set up a water tent for the volunteers and the several bands' members. Right now, we need to get as much bottled water as possible. We will also need manpower to minister to the people (8 people, 2 each working 2 hour shifts each). The event is from 2 PM to 10 PM. There will be a sign-up sheet at the Greeter's table on Sunday so please sign-up if you can help out.
Women's Ministry Planning Meeting and Potluck 8/29/10 (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
We are having a planning meeting at the Church to set the next 3 months calendar. Please bring your ideas and a dish for the potluck. See you there!
Women's Ministry Bible Study 9/19/10 (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
We will be starting a 6-week series on “Famine to Fairy Tale: Ruth and Naomi’s Path to Redemption”. The cost of the books is $8 and will be available at the planning meeting or see Debbie after 8/29. The first session will be held at the church on September 19th at 6pm-8pm. Medical Fair and Blood Drive 9/25/10 (9:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
We are partnering with local medical personnel to offer a Medical Fair to our community at the church. Dr. Scott Trefts with other area doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel will be on hand to minister to our community. Volunteers are needed and welcomed. If you have any questions or wish to help, contact Scott Trefts at trefts@mac.com.Along with the Medical Fair, the Red Cross will be doing a blood drive on site. The Red Cross relies on volunteers to donate their blood to help others so come out and help by giving your blood.
Community Bazaar and Open House 10/30/10 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Common Ground will have a Community Bazaar and Open House. Donations of clean, gently used items will be accepted after church each Sunday. If you need a time to drop off items during the week, contact Teresa Thomasson at 484-6443. We are in the beginning stages of planning so if you wish to help with this event or have any questions contact Teresa Thomasson at 484-6443. All money made will be added to the church's general fund.
